Dirty Shame Bar & Grill, previously known as River Bend Bar and Grill, previously known as The Dirty Shame, 8124 Fulton St E, Ada ~ 2/23/18 & 4/20/23

We started our "Dive Nights" together in 2018 and the River Bend was our first stop (2/23/18). After the recent name change, we had to come back and check it out (4/20/23) ~  here we are on both visits, and in the same seating positions 😊
So here are the 4/20/23 photos. Cheers to Dive Nights!
We began with Oberons and an Alaskan Amber, served in frosted glasses.
Although the sign has been changed, the menu has not made a complete transition. But things mostly seem the same.
We started with Cheesy Bacon Tots. They were tasty but could have been a little crisper.
The Philly Cheesesteak (ordered without Swiss) was superb!
Shrimp Basket (beer battered shrimp) and fries were excellent and came with house made cocktail sauce.
There are lots of options for the chicken sandwich (see menu photo) and this is the Grilled Chicken Mushroom Swiss Deluxe. It was well-prepared and delicious.
The Reuben was ordered with Haystack onions, and the meat, cheese, and slaw were great but the sandwich needed more 1000 island dressing for that perfect combination.
If you order a glass of wine, it just might arrive in a random glass 😁
Our server, Angie, was fabulous and has worked here for 17 years. No matter what the name, this place appears to remain a local favorite. Here is the recent claim of the new owners: "proud to be your local five star dive bar since 1952."  We love visiting local watering holes and this one is a historic classic.

2/23/18 and First Dive Night write-up
Formerly known as The Dirty Shame, the place changed owners and names some time back but has a very long history as The Shame. It apparently cleaned up a bit from what it was but is still popular with locals. On this Friday night, there was one table open at 5:30 and Happy Hour was in full swing.
Beer is the beverage of choice with the 24 oz tall a favoriteIf you choose wine, your selection will arrive in a little bottle.
Being a Friday, fish was the special of the night, an all-you-can-eat pollock, and cod was also featured on the menu. Both were well-prepared, tender and tasty.
There is a lot of activity in this place and the pool table was busy. We watched the live music setting up but didn't stay for the performance.

Other nights will bring different music and other specials, like this Thursday night Polish platter.
But the noisy crowd will be here whatever night you stop in, especially at Happy Hour, enjoying the food, beer, and each other's company.
