Fulton Street Pub and Grill, 801 Fulton St W ~ February 3, 2026

We've driven past this Westside place so many times and finally visited it this month. Their website provides some great historic information. It was established in the 1940s as El Dorado. Father and son, Marvin and Ed Sienkiewicz, bought it in 1970. They changed its name to Eldo, Nite Cap, and finally settled on the current one.
In 2004, they built a new building behind it, demolished the original structure, and used the old space for an outdoor patio. The new building included a full kitchen.
The building is divided into two spaces, the second being reserved for karaoke nights (happening every Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays nights for 20 years).
We sat near the long bar, next to the pinball machines.
Here's the second section of the place.
And take your best guess when choosing a restroom 😕
We started with a Three Floyd's Gumball head and Northern Hawk Owl Ambers.
According to old reviews, before 2022 the menu included lots of vegan choices which vegans loved, obviously. When that chef left, the vegan entrees went with him. But the Tofu Bites were available tonight and we ordered those and the Pretzel Bites for our appetizers. The tofu had a light corn starch batter and came with a sweet chili sauce. Pretzel Bites arrived with mustard and cheese. We enjoyed them both! Neither of them were on the menu, however, but were specials of the night.
Our main courses consisted of the Olive You, Jenny Burger: single patty with provolone cheese, lettuce, diced olives and mayo. It wasn't the best olive burger ever but the copious olives made it very enjoyable.
The Rodeo Burger was massive: single patty with two crispy onion rings, bacon, American cheese, mayo, and BBQ sauce and the addition of Jalapenos for a 50 cent upcharge. It was consumed comfortably.
The Fulton Street Salad had very fresh ingredients: lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, onion, croutons, and grilled chicken, much better than the average bar.
The Chopped Philly Steak sandwich was excellent! Beef sirloin was grilled with peppers, onions, mushroom, and melted provolone cheese on a fresh hoagie bun. It was a great combination of ingredients with very tender beef.
Fries were crispy and delicious, and the extra seasoning on the Cajun version was much appreciated.
The Kapusta Burger was not available tonight (disappointed) and an unannounced 3% charge was applied for credit card payments (more and more common these days). Taylor was an awesome server and took care of our billing issues (twice).
There's a decided lack of charming atmosphere but food and service were excellent. Clientele appeared to be Westside neighbors and college students on the night we were there. Karaoke on the weekends is probably a whole other vibe. Cheers to a friendly, neighborhood hangout.
